Chaos

Chaos (CHA) communicates the full range of developments in nonlinear science to the international research community. It features contributions from physics, mathematics, chemistry, biology, medicine, engineering, and other disciplines in which nonlinear phenomena play an important role.

Chaos offers a unique balance of computation, theory, and experiment to reflect properly the tripartite methodology that has proved essential to the progress of nonlinear science.

In addition to original, peer-reviewed research articles, letters and brief reports, Chaos offers these features:

  • Special Focus issues that highlight a selected area of current interest in nonlinear science
  • Lead paragraphs, targeted at the nonspecialist, that convey the context and primary results of each paper
  • Solicited technical reviews and pedagogical surveys
  • A photo and video gallery of winners from the Gallery of Nonlinear Images at the annual APS meeting is published in each December issue
